Bairrada route
Bairrada route
In the center of Portugal, the Bairrada Route is located along the coast, where the municipalities of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz are included.
The route also covers the area of Coimbra, a city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In this region are located some of the oldest and most reputed national spas, with spas and health programs.
The Bairrada piglet, an ex-libris of the national gastronomy, is particularly appreciated in the company of the good wines of the region, namely the sparkling wines of which Bairrada was one of the first producing regions in Portugal.
In this region it is possible to stay in wine producing estates, where it is possible to make wine tastings and participate in agricultural works, which vary according to the time of year.
