Alentejo wine route

Alentejo wine route
The Alentejo Wine Route extends through the plains of the region, marked by the heat, except in the extreme north next to the Serra de S. Mamede.

Here is one of the most beautiful villages of the Alentejo, Marvão, between walls, as well as another south, Monsaraz, is on the edge of the Alqueva.

Borba, Redondo, Reguengos or Vidigueira are names of lands and wines with long tradition.

The capital of the region, Évora, owes its World Heritage classification to the variety and beauty of its heritage, but the whole region deserves a visit to enjoy a singular landscape made of rolling fields, cork oaks and lakes that mirror the blue of the sky and Soul of a region where the force of the earth conquers us.

The cante alentejano is part of the strongest traditions of the region, along with the Alentejo gastronomy and the Alentejo wine.

The recognition of the Cante Alentejano as an Intangible World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO took place at the end of 2014. This distinction not only honors the Alentejo but Portugal as a whole, shortly after Fado also received the same recognition.

Be Alentejano for one day. Of body, soul and voice.
